BakersfieldNow.com : Struggling power customers hit with big deposits | Bakersfield Now - News, Weather and Sports | Inve

I couldn't agree more! When I first moved to Bakersfield they asked for a $400 deposit and said it was based off of the previous renters use. It was a lot of money but okay fine, so I asked if I could split it up into 3 months and they told me no! I was shocked! I told them that wasn't fair and that they left me with no options, they in turn told me Sure you have options...get a co-signer! I thought wow they are the only electrical company available to us and this is how they treat there customers? After talking to that employee’s manager I was able to get my deposit split into two payments but I still don't think its right that they have so much power! No pun intended!! PG&E takes advantage and ruins peoples lives with there unfair and unethical treatment! Not to even mention what there prized Smart Meters are doing to us!

It clearly says the guy wasn't complaining about getting chased for what he did he was complaining about the way the Bakersfield police department consistently overreacts and treats people poorly. In this situation I don’t think “oh poor felon car thief” really applies I think it was more of a matter of the BPD overreacting AGAIN…the guys lucky he didn’t get shot, we all know how trigger happy the BPD is!
