The nightmare scenario in our house wasn't the kids getting it -- it was the parents getting it because there is nobody physically close to us who could care for the kids. We would have no choice but to continue to care for two infants while fighting the virus. As it turned out, our nanny contracted it and gave it to one of the twins. My wife managed to miss it, but I got it and was bedridden for a week. While the child who got it only showed very slight symptoms, there was no way both of us could care for our children if we both felt they way I felt that week. My family isn't the only one in that situation. And it's not punishment for the kids. It's taking the necessary steps to combat a global pandemic.
