Breitbart.com : Australia passes controversial carbon pollution tax

Australia’s lying inept leadership. How to grind down a successful prosperous country step by step.... Simple elect Marxist Socialist leadership.... As reported in the Sidney Morning Herald...... Coogee Chemicals, a Melbourne methanol producer, says it may close its methanol factory in Laverton, Victoria, and it has shelved plans for a $1 billion plant that would have provided 150 jobs elsewhere in regional Australia because of the carbon tax to take effect from July 1 next year. Coogee Chemicals says the carbon tax will make the plant, which would have provided export earnings of $14 billion, uncompetitive and unviable. Opposition climate action spokesman Greg Hunt said the Coogee Chemicals case is a classic example of how the carbon tax will drive up emissions, not reduce them. "Jobs will go to China, investment is lost and the emissions of CO2 will go up because China uses coal rather than LNG for methanol production," he said.

She lied to support Kevin Rudd She lied to get elected “There will be no carbon tax under a Labor government”. She has lied over and over and now we have a carbon tax in place. How many more lies will the Australian people take? Where is the line in the sand? Is it here and now? If not, when and where? When have YOU had enough? Know any good lawyer jokes? I do - the punch line is Julia Gillard. She was a partner at Slater and Gorden. What does that tell you? I know what it tells me.....

It will destroy the current economic prosperity that the Australian government now enjoys which was put in place by twelve years of conservative government that put Australia in such a good position for the GFC. We are currently experiencing a two speed economy. One is the mining boom where China is buying everything we can dig out of the ground in quantities that stagger even the most experienced people in the industry. Two is the rest of us who are dealing with an ever slowing market similar to the rest of the world. It is only mining that is keeping Australia prosperous right now. And they are going to screw that up as well. And they won government by ONE vote. 7 billion people in the world divided by 22 million in Australia. That is a ratio of 318 to ONE. That is less than 0.03% of all the pollution in the world even if you reduced it to ZERO... which they won’t, but they will kill the economy !!! I have a plan for my family, I hope you have one for yours. It is sad when you need protection from your government.

This action will DO NOTHING good but it will line the coffers of government with more money to pass out to those sucking off the drip feed of government. The government put ads on television on how after the Carbon Tax was in place all low income families will get a portion of the tax money. What a bunch of gullible rubes – don’t they know that the food they eat has to be grown with diesel fuel in the tractors and then trucked with diesel fuel to the grocery store and when diesel fuel goes higher than it is who do you think will pay? That when the electricity producers have to pay the tax the electricity will go up 9% and that has already been announced, will it really be 19%. What a bunch of gullible rubes!! Happy to get $300.00 cash in the hand now and pay $1000.00 more later!!

It took the Labor Party with the ”Watermelon” Party (Green on the outside, Red through and through) and a couple left leaning independents to win the last election by ONE vote. They DO NOT have a mandate to do this. This is not the will of the Australian people, if there was an election today they would be out on their a$$ so quick they would forget what they came there for. Julia Gillard stabbed her own boss in the political back to get this job.

Melbourne is not a bad city, but most liveable?? If that is the case why are so many from Melbourne moving to Brisbane or southeast Queensland? I sure see a lot of Victorian plates here. I reckon the Melbornites are voting with their feet.

Every person has a right to thier own opinions. Those opinions belong to them. NO one had a right or mandate to change them. What I believe is mine, what you believe is yours. Reguardless what you believe no one had a right to try to change you. Today it is the Muslems who want to kill all those who dont follow thier religion. During the Crusades it was the Christians who wanted to kill all those who do no believe in Christ. Both are wrong.

Problem is that while most of us on this forum all agree on what needs to be done, we were never the problem in the first place. We read, we educate ourselves but each of us only has one vote. How do we counter that with all the illiterate voters? I know what we all want in November; do we have to votes to take our country back? Hope we do, do we have a plan if we don’t?

I just checked there were 198 comments to this post. There are 300 million people in the USA. Lets face, we are a miniority. Like it or not THEY have taken over and I fear the November elections will not do what we all hope they will. There are so many things wrong, the list is getting so long it is hard to remember it all. I am an American who saw the problem nearly 20 years ago and I moved. I love America and remember how it was, but that is not the America of today. Via the Embassy system I still vote in national elections. I didnt have much choice for the last few elections so I wrote in the best man for the job. Too bad the party elites made such poor choices.

Big Government : UN Security Stops Journalist's Questions About ClimateGate

When I read the history books of the past I often wondered how it was that so many people were so easily led to their demise. Even now that I have seen it happen with my own eyes I still don’t understand how gullible apparently so many people are. Why do so many just accept what a politician or an “expert” it telling them. In the 1400’s the experts said the world was flat. In the 1970’s the experts were telling us of a coming new ice age. Neither of those worked out too well. I guess because there was no money in it for them but now they have figured out a way to make some money with their current scam.

I don’t know what the truth is about Climate Change, Global Warming or the title de jour is, but now it is obvious those promoting it have a lot to hide. Now I will support NO politician with my vote that supports Climate Change because if they don’t want to talk about then obviously they have something, or a lot, to hide. Any fool that casts his vote (and a vote is all we have) for manmade climate change is throwing away the only voice they have. Too bad there are so many fools in the world. I may be one of them but at least I want to discuss and share the information. All this does is makes me a skeptic of them.

Big Hollywood : Death of the Movie Star: Hollywood Rethinks use of A-list Actors

It seems Hollywood is good at crashing and blowing stuff up or the ubiquitous car chase. I find this so boring now. It has been done to death. Our family has turned to the quirky foreign films that have an interesting story line that you have to watch closely or you will miss the nuance of the story. Most Hollywood stuff you can leave, go to the toilet and return and not feel like you have missed anything, because you didn’t. There have been a few good movies come from Hollywood but if they were baseball payers their batting average would not get them hired into the big leagues. Also it does not help when they wear their politics on their sleeve.
