I'm so delighted that you've seen and enjoyed this! I remember how excited I was when it came out and it really is a satisfying adaptation, and about as visually spot-on as a live action Discworld could be.

Oh, I would have loved to see an adaptation of Reaper Man! I enjoyed the animated adaptations too. The Truth Shall Make Ye Fret podcast had an episode about the Wyrd Sister adaptation recently that was pretty enjoyable.

I know I've heard an audio adaptation of Amazing Maurice, too, with David Tennant.

Since Mark was asking about adaptations, here are the ones I know about -

Animated Wyrd Sisters
Animated Soul Music

The live action adaptations of Hogfather, The Color of Magic, and Going Postal are all on Amazon, as are the Wintersmith album by Steeleye Span and the Wintersmith concert video.

I know there are some audio drama versions as well, and maybe some others I've missed?

That's such a good one - there's a podfic version too.

That would have been fun to read, and more interesting too. Ad it would have been nice to see Nanny in a teaching role.

There is, after everything, one song left from the Steeleye Span WINTERSMITH album. In HAT FULL OF SKY Tiffany says of her older self, "I shall wear midnight", and it became the title of a book, but the song is we shall wear midnight, and it's sung from Tiffany herself to her creator. It was written while Terry Pratchett was still alive, but it resonates deeply with this book.

The Wintersmith concert DVD is available on <a href="https://smile.amazon.com/Wintersmith-Tour-Steeleye-Span/dp/B00OIEQ3AU/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=wintersmith+dvd&qid=1591271522&sr=8-1">Amazon and <a href="https://www.amazon.co.uk/Wintersmith-Tour-Collaboration-Terry-Pratchett/dp/B00OIEQ3AU">Amazon UK, although depending on where you live you might need a region-free DVD player to watch it. It's very much worth it, but you might need tissues. Jura Cengpurgg wbvaf gurz ba fgntr V nyjnlf raq hc fboovat.

I feel the same way about Geoffrey and thank you for putting it so eloquently. I think that the story of the first male witch could have been a compelling one, but for it to be an inexperienced and self-taught youth being universally granted the respect and recognition that we've watched Tiffany struggle half her life to earn was painful.

When I started reading Discworld, I was about 14 and Equal Rites had just come out. I grew up with Granny Weatherwax.

Geoffrey's story could have been awesome, but as it is it feels a bit like a sexist slap in the face.

In the US I only hear the second usage but it's a safe guess that the Feegles and by extension Mrs. Earwig meant the first.
