While I understand your point and am myself getting more than a little sick and tired of 'committees', what he has proposed is quite legitimate and completely Constitutional.

The committee would recommend the required cuts and the House and Senate would then have an up or down vote, at least as far as I understand this.

Again, to be perfectly clear, I do NOT like this portion of the proposal, but there is nothing Unconstitutional about it.

IMHO we are missing the core point in all of this, that being the Balanced Budget Amendment. If I were the Speaker, Obama, Reid and EVERYONE else in congress would get NOTHING without a clean vote and recommendation of the Prez.

All said, you bring up a very good point just the same.

The President complains in one breath about not getting his phone call returned (read: demands met), then in the next breath complains about what he heard when it was.

What did he honestly (I know that term does not appear in the lie-beral dictionary) you expect he was going to say Mr. President?

Seems as if the President failed the Jedi-mind trick course at Hazard....errrr... I mean Harvard.

To Mr. K's point, he is spot on, however did Bohner not in one sentence say that 'talks were at an end' then when asked if he was meeting with the President say 'Yes Ma'am'.

Part of me cant help but think the dog and pony clause is in full effect between establishment Rep and Lie-berals. But that is just an opinion.

Just a word of novice advice to Mr. Speaker and the rest of the RINO National Committee, this is what you get when you negotiate behind closed doors. If you do intend to resolve this issue with the Senate, DEMAND that they take place in the open and televised.

Lest anyone want to argue that Mr. Reagan did not represent America, I still remember being at work watching the motorcade taking him to his final resting place.

The woman next to me, clearly saddened, made the statement 'I loved my Ronnie'.

She was and is a life long Democrat and liberal.

Sorry, for the error I was posting for Mr. Duh.

My point is that although (according to DUH) 97% of planned parent hoods does not involve abortion, a bs # that like you I find HIGHLY dubious, the remaining 3% is a substantial source of their profit. Therefore his number and reasoning are mere spin in an attempt to confuse the issue. A fact you clearly pointed out and I agree with wholeheartedly.

PPH made 1 billion in profits last fiscal year, I bet dollars to dead babies that a large if not majority portion of that came from abortion.

That is what I was getting at, again sorry if you misunderstood.

Just out of curiosity, I wonder what this crowd thinks of the (Left) wing-nut at the Discovery Channel offices last week.

If they feel this abortion clinic is 'sacred and holly ground' then that fruit loop must be THEIR messiah.
