As hard as it is out here for black gay men, I have a hard time believing one would CHOSE that lifestyle if he weren't truly, in his heart, in that way.

I doubt one could simply "find the truth" ...and CHOSE to not be gay. If it were as simple as a choice, don't you think that many men would renounce their sexuality as well?

I'd be more inclined to believe him if he was at least bisexual. To go from strictly being attracted to men, to wanting a wife and family in a matter of weeks is extreme.

Let me start by saying that I do not mean to offend anyone with my opinion:

A part of me feels sad when young people claim to have found "The Truth" in a mater of weeks/months.

"The Truth" is something that takes years, even a lifetime, to find.

In my opinion, most organized religions just seem like mini cults that claim to teach these "truths" to anyone willing to listen.

IMO... NO religion knows the full 100% truth because the "truth" has been handed down, and translated, way too many times for most "truth" to be left.

I am spiritual. I believe in GOD. I believe people should just be themselves and love who they want, as long as it doesn't hurt another form of life. Who are we to put limitations on love? In fact, most religious people spread more hate than love. People hate what they don't understand until they are forced to understand it directly.

I believe we are here to learn, love, help, grow, conquer and pro-create.

I don't know if there is a Heaven or Hell. I do know that SOME religions use Heaven & Hell as a reward/punishment system in order to control the people and their actions.

I don't claim to have all the answers, but no one should ever be "scared straight"... it will only end with self hate.

GOD is not about one religion, but a relationship.

If this new "truth" that he has found makes him a better person, I'm all for it. If he was talked into this "truth" by some "truth teller", give me a Kit-Kat!
