Jack of All Trades : 2010 jacked by the Mafia that is FIFA

I agree with you that it's a circus. Thank you for the temporary job creation during construction, but I would have preferred employment that happens and grows slowly, but keeps our people employed.
I too can't wait for it to come and go, for no other reason but to see what egg looks like on Danny Jordaan's face..

Jack of All Trades : The BIG HiFi Corporation BRANDFAIL.

Thank you for taking time to post a comment on this blog Anne. That is appreciated.. lots too. The fact that someone from the JD group is willing to do this speaks volumes.

Negative experiences are - sadly so - etched in memory for longer periods than exceptionally good ones. Good reputations are built over decades and can crumble in one experience. Thank you for addressing this issue, as my concern was more for other clients that will buy from your stores in future.

Wow. One would not expect this from established companies.
So they got their customer service manager to call me and apologise..
That\\\'s appreciated, but will have no effect on the negative ORM already in place..

Jack of All Trades : Celebs, Twitter and Conversation

Hey thanx for swinging by.. You're absolutely right.. we have to give them credit for trying. I'm just worried that to many it looks more like a job.. if you take time to look at who they send tweets to and the times they tweet.. hence my assumption that many might be under instruction from management. Thanx for giving Twitter some shine in your post. The socialmediasphere is pretty chuff'd. I'm sure.

Jack of All Trades : Mr. Shift is not coming

Thanks for your comment Anthony. I sometimes think all the whitepapers and ebooks - perhaps unintentionally - create hard and fast rules about how one should be going about being social online. Whilst I read the blog posts, the ebooks etc, I maintain that I will do this thing the way i feel comfortable doing it. And it works for me.

Jack of All Trades : The slow move toward YOU-centricity

Thank you for your comment Dianne. It's great to get inspiring comments from people who share a view. I believe that the more YOU-centric a brand desires to become, the more success it will have attracting engaging and retaining brand loyalists. In the future (which is now) a lot of the success in branding will hinge on the extent to which "the brand is your friend". Your comments are very welcome.

Jack of All Trades : FREE: before Chris Anderson there was Rob Stokes..

Thanks you for your comment Rob. I think the world needs to know that South Africa's got a whole lot more to offer than Vinny Lingham. Not knocking Vinny of course, but many locals like yourself, Justin over at the Gator pen and the guys at SWAT don't really get the props you deserve.. and you put truckloads into what you're doing.. That deserves respect.

Heidi, you have no idea how much it means not only that you agree, but had the chutzpah to do so publicly in your comment above. I get tons of DMs on Twitter from people telling me how correct I am, but none of the punks actually "put their words where their eyes are". I salute you, and thanks. Just so you know, I am the CEO of Fluence | New Marketing, but I am the "chief execution officer".. all decisions are made as a team. thanks again

Arthurficial Intelligence : Bloggers' Payola.. aka.. Sponsored Conversation

Thanks for your comment Karen You have to admit that Mike's post does seem suspicious. The fact that the owner called and invited him prior to him ever going there just for a drink even could conjure all sorts of logical conclusions. However, knowing Mike from his blogposts and tweets, I know he's not into "bloggers' payola", but what about the person reading that post that doesn't even know who Mike is? I'm all for bloggers getting paid to blog, but how would you be able to discern between whether they're "just saying things" and whether what they say is actually fact. Very fine line treaded there. I have personally regurgitated information via the twittersphere that shouldn't have commanded the amount of attention it did.. and I regret doing that because I could have misled people in the process, causing them to make decisions that will affect them in years to come. Just imagine.
