/Film : Would You Pay For a Hulu Subscription?

i think the best route is to keep offering what they have for free, but for a paid subscription add content. for example more back episodes and commercial free shows. they could also include HD streaming and a few other things. if they made us pay for any services that they already provides kind of takes away from why hulu is awesome and why we use it. i probably would pay for a subscription if did not take away anything that they already provide, but add some other features.

/Film : Watch Steve Wiebe Become The King of Kong Live

All of the nerds out there should watch this film. I am not much of a sports guy, but I get the feeling this movie makes me feel how most people feel when they watch Rudy (or some other sport movie). it is a great movie with a hero I could get behind and cheer for much more than any of those other formulaic hollywood feel good films i have seen

/Film : Discuss: Is Matt Damon the New Harrison Ford? Shia LaBeouf... The New Bruce Willis?

why can't we just let the actors be their own entity instead of trying to compare them to different actors. There will never be another Cary Grant of Audrey Hepburn so we should just stop looking for them in modern cinema. at the end of the day the movies are completely different from what they used to be and the actors today are completely different from what they used to be. what makes the great actors great is the fact that there are no other actors like them out there. I see what you are trying to do by comparing different actors from different errors, but it just as arbitrary as top 10 lists which actually tells me more about the person making the comparison or the lists than the movies or actors.

I would like to see in the genre part of the top banner if you possibly include foreign/indie films.

/Film : Disney's American Movie Poster For Hayao Miyazaki's Ponyo

I am actually hoping for a subtitled presentation of the film in a theater. I doubt I will get one, but that just means I will have to wait until the DVD comes out. Besides being one of the premiere Japanese film makes Miyazaki is one of the best film makers of all time and really has made some of the most visually stunning movies with some of the most memorable characters I have ever seen in any movies.

What a silly article. Uwe Boll could do a much better job ruining Thundercats than Michael Bay.

To comment on "why no one thought of this sooner". I am sure that plenty of people have thought of this before, but these type of people do not usually have access to beautiful girls who are willing to have light saber fights in their underwear for the amount of money that the typical nerd that thinks of things like this has access to(I know I do not).

/Film : Danny Boyle Puts Teen Assassin On The Backburner For My Fair Lady?

Honestly as much as I love the original there were definitely some flaws. It will be hard to cast (Patrick Wilson maybe), but I do not think it is a horrible idea and in the hands of Boyle there might be some hope. I would not be surprised if it was fake, but I am intrigued.

/Film : Rachel Weisz in the Teaser For Amenebar's Agora

I love the fact that are doing this movie because I think she has an extremely interesting life and is one of my favorite historical figures. POSSIBLE SPOILER for those who do not know the historical background: I wonder if they will actually show the way that they killed her because I think it will really shed some light on how certain people were treated during that time period. It will also be one of the most gory horrible things to ever put on film, but I think it is something that is an extremely important part of her life (possibly the most important part of her life).

/Film : GeekBomb: Clive Owen, International Man of Mystery

I would put Closer in that list of movies to check out. That was the first time that I noticed him. I love that movie and he created such a great presence in that role it is almost impossible for me to see him as Law's character. Good post.

/Film : Is Slumdog Millionaire Poverty Porn?

I do not think anything else needs to be said other than what Boyle said. This is his film and he didn't make to influence westerners perception of Indian culture, but made it about the human spirit. We have all seen movies that are insulting to some culture in one way or another. I am an Asian-American and if I wanted to complain about how Asian culture is represented in The Dark Knight no one would care. It did influence my view of the movie, but it did not stop from being a great movie and being one of my favorite movies of all time. We all just say these things to hear ourselves speak and to get affirmation for things we already believe in; including myself.

/Film : 500 Days of Summer Teaser Trailer

I have been looking forward to this movie since I have heard of it, but the scene where JGL with the animated bird makes me want to see the movie even more. If they can pull of quirky scenes like that then this movie will be more than I could have originally hoped for. Also is that a dance sequence that I saw at some point.
