I would like to see anyone who attaches pet projects to spending bills be made to sign their name(s) to it and post for the public a complete expense break-down of the project as well as a reasonable explanation as to why the project is necessary. (For example, I'd like to know how much money is paid to the person who has to collect the swine gas in the ZipLock so as to study the odor. And, if the fumes overcome the collector, who pays for the emergency room visit?) After a public posting, anyone who wants more information can contact the said porker(s) and thoroughly grill them. You know, something about transparency. . . . . blah, blah.
