I'm sure the reason is a desire for higher ratings, but I'd prefer to see the work of each designer, in his/her own vignette, at least a few times during the season. Right now, I haven't a clue as to what each designer is about. And, given the way Alex was eliminated tonight, HGTV could save a lot of money on judges salaries: it seemed that his two teammates "voted Alex off the island" and the judges just went along with it. Is HGTV really going the way of Bravo and switching from challenging program to cat and/or dog fights? How I long for season one's format, again.
