How were they "forced" to utilize "60" gas canisters/grenades? As prior military I have been exposed to the chemicals in these grenades and I can say that while I can accept that it may have been necessary to use some gas, 60 really seems to be excessive and firing it through several different portals would appear (to me) to be counter productive as it allows better ventilation... just a couple thoughts here... It just seems that the SWAT response was excessive, not uncalled for but excessive and therefore IMHO both the home owner (who may or may not have done background checks) and the city might be co-responsible for the damage..

in my humble opinion most of the people here are missing the main point.... The separation of church and state along with the First Amendment guarantee of Freedom of Religion both preclude all of the arguments including "GOD" in any form in this debate.

First: Separation of Powers (IMO) precludes the use or consideration of religious arguments in debates of Law. The State's only interest in marriage is in the form of a social contract, and contracts may be entered into by persons of the same gender unless you choose to void every business contract which has entered into by parties who don't happen to be opposite genders.

Second: Not all religions find Gay marriage to be objectionable and therefore the free practice of those which honor gay marriage is protected under the First Amendment.
