Big Government : Obama Outflanks Republicans On Payroll Tax Cut

The Reps should retain a National league, quality coach to anticipate these moves....obviously, the Pres thinks he's an All Star at game strategy. After all, he's employing the same tactics used by sports teams. The Reps are mainly concerned with the drink concessions. sigh.

Big Government : Judicial Watch Announces: The 2012 Election Integrity Project

Duplicate voting is another issue deserving of investigation and clean up. In 08, we voted early at the election board polling place as we were going out of town. At the last minute our trip was cancelled and we were at home on election day. My husband decided to go to our local polling place and see if our names were still on the list (since we voted at another location earlier) and would they let him vote....again? Indeed, our names were there. They handed him a ballot. He gave it back and explained he was just curious. They got very upset with him for "pointing out their flaws". Had he been unscrupulous, he could have voted again. No problem. It makes us wonder...how many know this little trick? Given the record turn out of early voters.....makes me very concerned.

When did Nevada become a right to work state? I recall in the 90s doing trade shows there and being forced to use union labor to bring in everything from displays to our own briefcases. That labor cost was greater than the booth cost, which wasn't cheap!

This President would not be hampered much by a Republican House and Senate. He'd have a field day with his new toy...Executive Powers. It'll happen whether Reps are in control or not! It's the President (and his czars) that are the problem.

Big Government : Is Newt Gingrich About to Be Herman Cained?

As if a huge number of men in this country can't relate to an angry, vindictive, ex-wife ruckmucking his livelihood? Give me a break! It's only the establishment that is the Republican Party that will give this any weight. Cain and Newt aren't the first and won't be the last to be gored by their own party. I'm darned near ready to go Independent. grrrrrrr

Big Government : Memo to Republicans: Where's ObamaCare's Replacement?

Government does NOT provide "health care". Government provides insurance for those who can't get insurance at affordable prices....Medicare, Medicaid. Doctors provide health care! Fee for service. Insurance companies are like Vegas Odds Makers....they're betting on you staying well but require you to pay for the priviledge of having a sense of security against catastrophic loss. (sometimes that's a false sense of security) They DO NOT want to pay out per their agreements with you....and will make every legal maneuver to avoid it. THIS is the industry in need of reform! Costs are ever pricier as are tests, fees, etc, due in part to the very fact that insurance exists and the provider's want to make sure they get as much as they can from those insurers, because they know you and I can't possibly bear those costs.
