Whatever people's political opinions, we live in a country with freedom to express them. Those that want to shut Mr Griffin up are hypocritical in the extreme.

7%!! That is crazy, those white children will surely suffer racism being a minority in a country that does not recognise racism against all races.

Our country has laws based on the Christian faith, the whole nature of our civilisation would change if a Muslim came into power as the prime minister.

Imagine children in assemblies chanting prayers in Arabic.

As a teacher I am disgusted with having to deal with children that come into my class not able to speak English. May I add that these children were BORN in the UK! There is no way I can educate my class as well with such non-English speakers in the class too, 29 children lose out because of one child with bad parents.

I am so proud of the sacrifices British people made in the past to allow me the freedoms I enjoy now. Although the people are different, the ideals they fought to protect are still being threatened today. Let's hope that we can continue to fight oppression through voting and not through physical means.

Great statement. For the success of the BNP to grow and for it to become a mainstream party it is essential that it becomes seen as a viable option for ruling the country, with policies in all fields of governance.

Although it is great to get two seats, if the UK had a nationwide proportional representation system like some other countries the BNP would have 4 or 5 seats. Perhaps this is something that we should begin to campaign for!

I have never really considered the BNP before, always voting Conservative. After reading your policies tonight after believing the BBC coverage was leading, I was surprised to see it reflects my own ideas. I worked hard to get through university, and won a scholarship to research for a Master in Law. It was taken away three weeks later. Why? The University had mistakenly given the scholarship to a white person, it was only available to ethnic minorities. I was unable to find alternative funding and had to give up on my dream of researching law.

With the politcal recognition of the BNP perhaps such racism will become a thing of the past.
