http://www.codusoperandi.com/ : Codus Operandi

You know what's the most inspiring thing about this blog post? It's how you didn't choose to be bitter about. Of course, there's the sadness of having missed out on an acquisition by Google - but it shows a lot about you that you simply learned and moved on. I'd expect many other startup founders would have lashed out at Google. Hats off to you! AppIgnite sounds like an interesting concept, I look forward to testing it when it releases in the future.

TechCrunch : Employees Challenged To Crack Facebook Security, Succeed (Updated)

Michael Arrington, even in jest, is going to try to hack in Zuckerberg's by setting up a rogue WiFi SSID. You need a lot more than luck for that, buddy. Like, technical expertise that you probably don't have.

Gimmicky. What benefit does it offer over Google's ReCAPTCHA? And because it's video based, it will be slower to load. Innovative idea that tries to solve a problem that doesn't exist.

If haven't read this article or the other one, there really was no need to comment on it. The discussion isn't really about the usage of word 'follower' as used by Twitter.

TechCrunch : Facebook And Zynga Enter Into Five Year Partnership, Expand Use Of Facebook Credits

Does anyone feels that of late, Zynga games are being pushed more aggressively via Facebook ads since the past few days? I swear they weren't that common earlier - especially if you marked them as 'uninteresting'. Maybe Facebook is being lax in allowing Zynga ads through simply because they know they'll get a cut too.

Sure they're 'allowed' to monetize the product. The more pertinent question would be 'can they attract enough advertisers to do so'. As you said, this feature can be duplicated by YouTube easily.

If Scribd plans to offer a choice between using the Flash version and the HTML5 version to content publishers AND end-users, this a good idea. If they plan to completely ditch Flash, it'll be suicidal for them. Many newspapers and media outlets currently use Scribd to embed Flash documents *because* it offers the assurance that content will look exactly as designed, and they have an option to prevent downloads / copying of content (if they want).

Whether a document is available for download or not is up to the content publisher who published it on Scribd. By default it is allowed but think of Scribd as Youtube for documents - content publishers might not want you to download and redistribute.
