While I certainly do agree with your description of V-P Pence it is clearly the case that he is somewhat more rational than Mr. Trump. Not much of a recommendation but he is all we've got.

It is illogical to imagine this corona virus as population control. Eliminating old people will not accomplish that "goal." An epidemic for population control should select for ages 15 to 45-the breeders. This would be a monstrous way to control population. A more humane manner would be 1 woman-1 child. Then of course absolutely insuring that the one child no matter where born in the world receives proper nutrition and proper care.
