Gingrich failed in his leadership role and let the Republicans essentially turn into big spending Democrats by 1996. It turned me off completely, and although I have always voted against the Democrats, it was usually holding my nose as I voted for a Republican. I'm done with the 'leaders' that get selected by the GOP. I have moved my allegiance to Ron Paul, who has displayed a steady consistancy to following the Constitution for all these years.
