I'm intrigued by Browning's statement: "...somehow the dog got out of a different part of the yard..."

Why was the dog kept in a separate part of the yard? Why would your child be allowed to reside with or visit with a home where the family dog must be segregated?

You're out of line, felines. The literary medium used by the original poster is a perfectly acceptable, poignant representation of how the writer wishes to express her grief of a loss to which she feels attached. Take it or leave it, but to verbally slam it is in bad form. Your comments, both of them, come across as bitchy, catty, mean-spirited, rude. Your open hostility has no place in this particular thread. Further, your entire argument is ridiculously hypocritical, considering your own familial flag-waving.
