Yeah I got that message you posted before deleted. But I guess I don't get it on my email though. Yeah I've been jailbreaking since the 1st gen too. I'm just keeping up with the latest 3.1.3. I'm currently studying in Chile, and using the unlock on it. Today my phone was booting and got stuck on the apple boot screen with 3.1.2. But I wasn't able to get iTunes to load the 3.1.2, but I remembered I had the SHSH. Thank God for that. So I changed that, and was able to get it to restore. I haven't updated the carrier update though, don't think I will until back in the states just in case haha. I agree with you otherwise about Apple controlling. I'd never use an iphone that wasn't jailbroken. I'd rather have a Blackberry.

Not sure what you mean by email. But that's cool to see other Pikes on here. Do you do stuff for the dev-team?

For those on ATT and/or unlocked, in January iTunes issued a "Carrier Update Release". I have an unlocked 3gs currently, is carrier update okay? I've read it has something to do with the new microcell. Is this correct? Thanks in advanced.

Someone needs to develop a program that is able to backup your cydia settings and apps. For instance: When I updated to a new software, I could load a program that would back up to all my old sources, programs, winterboard settings and whatever else. OR even if it could just backup the sources and programs that would be nice.

DId you have categories installed? Try deleting the springboard.plist file. Do that by SSH to it. Can't remember where exactly the file is located. But once you delete it restart your iphone. Should fix it.

Just throwing this out there... even though Apple is still making incredible products like the iphone, they seem to be slowing turning into a microsoft... Charging for 3.0 for touches... Steve Jobs kissing unidentified men... what else are they up to.

What? Apple is charging for 3.0? How is it illegal... you own the ipod? Like warranty voiding maybe? Anyway that's ridiculous. However it is a touch... so what differences will you really want or need? Not like you can MMS, oh wait neither can ATT yet... Why do I have ATT?

Question about TurboSim Cards. I have ATT but would like to travel outside the country and be able to use a prepaid sim in my iphone. I know they make those Turbo Sim cards, where you place your sim and the turbo card in the tray, then put it in the iphone. How do those compare to yellowsn0w? I'm a noob learning about the latest iphone pwnage techniques.

Question. I have a 3g that is jailbroken. I have yet to update to itunes 8.2 for fear of anything getting screwed up. Can I upgrade to 8.2, and still have my jailbroken 3g backup and do what it needs to do? I'm an ATT subscriber ::sigh:: so I don't need to worry about the yellowsn0w really. By the way, the dev-team kicks ass. Thanks for all the help you guys rule.
