To get access to APN settings fields in "cellular data network menu" and make my Face Time working, I just pull out and place back SIM card, without device turn off.

"custom" means already JB. Just update your phone with custom FW and you"ll get JBed phone with sydia.

No, it will NOT. So why I recommended you this method. There are lot of issues with new BB, it's better to stay on 04.26.08 but with updated FW.

It's better keep 04.26.08, cuz you may unlock it with ultrasn0w, it's stable unlock tool. For unlock 05.11.07 you'll need blacksn0w, this tool point of many issues - wifi, push, youtube etc. So, it's better use custom. Anyways, you may go another way any time.

OK, first google: iPhone custom 3.1.2 ipsw activated(this is important, you need activated). Download it and put on desktop for example. Connect your iphone to itunes, shift+restore(in itunes) and show the way to your downloaded custom file. It'll upgrade your phone to latest JBed FW. Then, go to Sydia on your phone, add repo: repo666 . ultrasn0w . com and install Ultrasn0w for unlock. Questions?:)

If you won't update your BB 04.26.08, so you may restore with custom FW 3.1.2 via iTunes(Shift+Restore) , you can get this FW from net or ask your friend with Mac make it for you, cuz PWNTool 3.1.4 works only on MAC. Then unlock with Ultrasn0w from Sydia.

I don't know how to check it. But, FW which was made with PWN have to have the word "custom" in the file name. It's good idea to be updated, many bugs was fixed after 3.0, so go ahead. Connect you phone to iTunes, shift+restore, show the way to your custom FW, then restore your data and install ultrasn0w from sydia. Good luck. Fill free to ask.

I don't know actually places where can you get it, I'm on Mac. I can make it for you but I don't know how to pass it to you. If you know the way, I'll help you, it's about 306Mb. Or search in google - custom 3.2.1 ipsw hactivated. Yes, iTunes automatically backup your data everytime you connect. It'll buckup and then restore ALL your data. Custom means Jbed, so after restorу with custom 3.1.2 ipsw, you'll get Jbed and updated phone.
