NO! do not pretend the bought and paid for system of "US democracy" is able to get any decent candidate even to run. Hillary did not run a good campaign and is NOT much better than Trump except in being less crude. Obama laid the way fro Trump in his behavior and is still trying to get progressive candidates to lose, like Bernie in 2016.The media help the PTB.
I wonder if these crims will be welcomed by their old colleagues.
He is hardly the only POTUS to do this. it is normal for them.
It would be naïve to blame the US for all the ills in much of the region.
No, it would be honest, and the US population needs to face the truth.
Andre speaks and writes from real experience, as well as his compassion, knowledge and courage. It is heartbreaking that after centuries of invasions and colonialism in south America and a few years of freedom in many of the countries, now the cruel powerful rich are back in power in the nations that had leaders and governments actually helping the people. Lula, Chavez, Morales are heroes but their enemies are supported by the "democratic West".
I agree, with this and the other comments.
We can see why the "Christians" of the formerly powerful in Bolivia wanted him removed. 500 years of colonisation had been stopped, and as in Chile, Argentina, Brazil,Venezuela and others, the rich could not let this change continue and had to overthrow those leaders and Parties wanted by the majority. The USA, as usual, supports this (Dems or Repugs) and pretends this is democracy (as if they knew what that is in their own "free elections"!!) .
This topic is very well explained on a site called Naked Capitalism.
Jeff Halper's book "War Aganist the People" is excellent and well worth reading despite (or because of) the detail of Israeli success in selling its products all over the globe regardless of the type of régime it sells to.
Add to this that Assange is NOT a US citizen, and his "crimes" were NOT committed in the USA. Of course the treacherous UK is part of the plot against Assange.
