I have iphone 4 having version 4.3.1 with baseband 4.10.01.
I got the information that this iphone can be upgraded to 5.1.1 and can be jailbreaked easily, BUT I am not sure about its UNLOCK part.
Please suggest if carrier unlock for baseband 4.10.01 is available or not?

I tried to save my hashses/blobs for my old bootrom iphone 3GS using redsnow but I got an error "This device is pwned with a bootrom exploit any blobs it has are unnecessary (and invalid anyway)."
Can you help me resolving this error?
To me it seems that Oldbootrom 3gs phone dont require hashes to be saved and can be downgraded to any firmware without hashes/blobs saved to cydia? Am I correct in my assumption?

I have 5.0 blobs saved in .plist form in redsnow folder (Cydia server rejected uncompleted blobs) can i restore back to 5.0 in this case?

I have successfully jailbreaked my iphone 3gs to version 5.1 (Old boot rom) without updating my baseband which is still 5.13.04. after jailbreaking I installed ultrasnow as well but somehow it is still giving error Invalid sim. Please guide if ultrasnow unlock is compatible with 5.1 version (upgraded without updating baseband on iphone 3gs old bootrom, jailbreak is untethered)

I tried to fetch my shsh blobs using redsnow software (in DFU mode) but i got an error that "blobs are corrupted only 0 out of 16 blobs verified"
Please guide whats is wrong i did or how to resolve this issue

Everything is working fine but I realized my phone become less responsive and slow now & takes tome to type words, scrolling up, down etc. (even in background no apps running)
Any tip to improve performance?

I am windows user.
Please suggest the best method I should follow to jailbreak & unlock my device on windows platform.
I am bit confused what to do because redsnow has not ability to jailbreak with preserving lower baseband for windows users.

I have Iphone 3GS with old boot rom having base band 5.13.04 and I am currently sitting on 4.3.2 version.
Now I want to upgrade to IOS 5 without loosing my unlock and also want to jailbreak my phone to install awesome cydia apps
Please advise what should be best possible way for me to jailbreak and unlock,
I have read one line in latest post "Remember, the only way to get to iOS5 while preserving your ultrasn0w-compatible baseband is by using a custom IPSW. redsn0w now has the ability to create such a custom IPSW for you (at least on Macs…the same capability for Windows will be coming soon)."
Has this ability for windows user available now?

NEED HELP. I successfully restored the cooked IPSW through snowbreeeze through itunes. No error detected during this process. Now after process completion my iphone stucked at emergency screen. Is it normal? Now it is asking for original sim which I dont have.
CAN ANYONE GUIDE WHAT TO DO NEXT PROVIDED I DONT HAVE ORIGINAL SIM?
i HAVE NOT READ ANYWHERE IN TUTORIAL THAT ORIGINAL SIM IS REQUIRED EVEN IF I AM RESTORING TO COOKED IPSW THROUGH SNOWBREEZE.
