We have recently been alerted by a customer to the fact that when you search our name ‘Rocklea Printing’ a sponsored Google ad for another business comes up first on every page and if you click on our name you will go straight into the other business’s website.
The other business has informed us that this is legal.
I am still looking into it but so far it seems they maybe right. I have briefly investigated this type of ambush marketing which seems to be widespread. I have found it is happening to many other businesses.
Your business may be one of them.
You have no protection it seems unless you trademark your business name and then
Google will remove it if requested.
I am left to wonder where did the ethical & moral values of business trading go?
I am quite disgusted with this practice as are everybody that I have spoken to who thought that your registered business name was protected and we have sold to this company or joined them so this is to inform you this is could be happening to your business too.
