Wouldn’t it be better if, in that sentence, “Islam” were replaced with “Americans?”" Wouldn't it be great if in that sentence "his role as President" was replaced with "The role of Muslims." Why is it the President's job to defend any particular religion? It isn't his job! And why is he so interested in defending Islam, but making no effort to fight against negative stereotypes of Christianity? Why didn't he defend Sarah Palin from the attacks on her religion?

I agree that "Longview" has no political message. It doesn't really have any message. I didn't mean to imply that "Longview" was leftist, but that many of their other songs are. "Longview" wasn't the only song they played, it's just the one that didn't get censored.

I know this is off-topic, but did anyone see Good Morning America today? Green Day was performing their song "Longview" and ABC must have fallen asleep at the ol' censor button because you can clearly hear the "f" word and the "sh" word, each quickly followed by a delayed bleep. Maybe the seven second delay isn't enough for those guys on the east coast, but c'mon, by the time it gets to Colorado, you should be able to get that timing figured out. Hey ABC, next time you have a foul mouthed band playing their liberal propaganda on your show, you might want to make sure you READ THEIR LYRICS!

Last night it was my turn to pick a movie. Usually I pick something that my wife has no interest in, like "On the Waterfront" with Brando or "The Cowboys" with John Wayne. This week, I decided to get a couple of movies for her to choose from, so she wouldn't be so upset. I got "The Magnificent Seven," "Lawrence of Arabia," and "High Noon." Aparently, I just can't win. She ended up picking Magnificent Seven, since it is in color and under 3 hours long.

The problem with being a "Progressive" is that, as the name suggests, they're never happy with where they are, they only focus on going somewhere else, or "progressing." They're a lot like stray dogs. If you feed them, they don't say "thank you" and become content. They continue to pester and beg and whine and hang around until your back is turned, and then they will attack you.
