Having problems right now, in fact, and I realized I didn't have my plot worked out enough to actually KNOW how it was going to end. Unusual for me as I usually have the ending all figured out before I even start the story.

EXACTLY. The boss of my company is always traveling and is never home. One of my other bosses has been known to send emails at 2 a.m. Both are substantially more wealthy than I am. And frankly, I don't want such wealth if I have to accumulate it that way.

I would love to. Unfortunately, I think I've been out of academia for so long that they wouldn't even look at me to teach. Plus, I'd like to get my PhD, but I don't want to take out any more loans to do it (especially since I can barely pay off my student loans for the Master's degree!).

I gave up my potential career as a history professor after I received my MA degree. I couldn't stomach the insular nature of the university, the "holier than thou" mentality, especially regarding "popular" history (which they viewed as far inferior to academic studies written in such a way that only other professors would understand it). The ivory tower mentality is alive and well and I avoided it like the plague.

There was a huge war on my Facebook wall when I wondered why this wasn't being covered very much by the MSM. When people suggested it was because Nashville was taking care of its own and didn't require the help of the U.S. govt., and also because there were more white people in Nashville than black (which leads one to believe that the MSM likes to cover stories involving minorities), one of my "friends" jumped into the fray and said we were racist for even thinking that.

My dad (who used to be more of a Republican, but whose girlfriend has turned him into a liberal...gah!) took issue with the boys wearing the flags at all. He says that it's disrespectful to wear the flag, and according to a federal statute (which the Supreme Court overruled), we should only wear the flag as a "patch" and that's it. Thoughts?
