Dani, Gertie and Sabrina are reaaally beautiful...... Since you left Brazil to live in the USA , things have changed a lot, concerning pet shops.... We have lots of pet shops and even pet supermarkets these mainly in the State of São Paulo). Many pet shops are super sophisticated and you cand find gifts for all kind of animals... I have read a study that the pet shop commerce is the one who has grown more in Brazil in the last two years..... Pet related occupations have also grown exponentially here... My fishes, for example, only eat german food. Their filters are also german or italian, Their aquariaum is japanese , the lamp is korean, the heaters are italianand the UV filter is from taiwan. And the CHemicals are mostly from germany ou USA. I buy them from a fish-pet-shop in Curitiba, Parana, But there are hundreds of fish stores , most of them in the states that had japanese colonzation.

The dog houses are very beautiful, but the last photo of the two french bulldogs is marvelous... I love bulldogs, french or english!!!! Those two guys seem to be very proud of their Eiffel Tower!!!

Dani my godson Gilberto Gil loves non fat Yoghurt!!! This food , together with his Tuna and his special diet cat food are his most loved foods!!! As for the Tuna, he only accepts one specific brand! If on tries to cheat him he refuses to eae!!!

Here in Brazil every birthday of St Francsico de Assis we have the animals blessinh cerimony. Usually the happen in big squares and everbody bringstheir pets. There are turtles, snakes, rats, dogs , cats , all kinds of birds, fishes and even animals from the local Zoo, like zebras , monkeys etc.... One of the most famous animals blessinh occurs in Ipanema , at the Nossa Senhora da Paz squase!!! here is a film of the blessing in Ipanema in 2007 . It is really incredible.!!! I know japanese fishes, like Koi, and Sweemy can be very docile and be trained to eat in the hand of the person who gives the food, but this kind of training I have never heard about, My fishes are mostly bottom fishes (brazilian corydoras and indonesian botias macrhacantra) and they never would obey me. Quite the opposite, Dona Botia, my 13 year old and 12 cm long Botia is the one who is the boss here at home. When she gets hungry she stays in the front of the aquarium looking directly at me. Only when I get up and get her food she returns to her wood hole. When I throw her german food pill she gets it and enters in her house to eat her food quietly. It is impossible to me to eat my breakfast or read a newspaper and at the same time being tortured by Dona Botia intense looking. I feel totally guilty and stop whatever I am doing to feed her.
