Rob - the idea is that each class should add to your knowledge and skills (else, why do it?). Turning in work you've previously submitted is an abrogation of this implicit contract. Doing so shortchanges your own learning.

You wrote "With the new age of internet resources the chances of copying a sentence is very likely" . Two questions:

1) Why is it likely? Is it a function of CTRL-C and CTRL-V?
2) Is this warranted justification? Isn't this still an act of intent?

Now wait a minute....LE's compensation system is a piece rate. Make more product, make more money. What is inimitable about this? (or the bonus or limited benefits).

I'm curious about how LE gets/retains these wonderful workers. Who are they?

Good start in many respects.

You are anticipating where this goes next: understanding what causes LE to perform well. Is it culture? Is it motivation? Is it deeper than that? I'll post this as a new discussion question

Good start in many respects. Some questions for you:

is share a good measure of performance? When is it useful and when not?
Is revenue a good measure? When is it useful and when not?

Is it that the plagiarism is not traceable - or noticeable? I read Malesic to argue the latter. In your example, I for one would be convinced of a problem and really dig into it (and that has happened! If you recall the example from the original SARI session, I spent about three hours tracking down and identifying the copied elements). Which do you think he is writing about?

But what role for Brazil, Russia, India, China in the sticking? Yes, negotiations have stalled (and you may want to look into changes in US trade policy and perspectives as a casue too), but what do the BRIC countries want?

Is the growth in business investment due to NAFTA or is this just a general measure? That is, the economy after NAFTA was implemented was better than the economy before - so to what extent is NAFTA responsible for the increase?
