Well, it took a long time to research whether the scandal evoked enough negative public opinion that it was unrecoverable. It helps you realize that it had nothing to do with the truth in the end. If opinion hadn't gone so negative would he still be there? Pretty sure he would. Probably some guys from the DNC inside finally came to him and said "Weiner, the numbers are really in. You gotta go". So not only cowards, but corrupt "ends-justifies-the-means" cronies every last single one of them.
