and one more thing... breast cancer was 1 out of 8...then 1 out of 7 now 1 out of 6 women will get breast cancer. Early detection is the answer to long life survival - so now it is not going to be cured? More women will just die from it?

Boy what idiots. That doctor needs her license revoked. I went in for a normal yearly screening last May. I was 47. There was something on the scan so they did a biopsy. It came back with questionable margins so they did a lumpectomy. It came back with cancer so I had a masectomy. One node was positive so I had to have an axillary surgery. No more cancer was found. The pet scan was also negative so now I am in chemo and will have to have radiation. This all started with my doctor Alan Carter telling me after my pap I had to be a good girl and do my mamogram. If the idiot that wrote this recommendation was my doctor it would have been a death sentence. Not to scare anyone but I would rather live. I have very little family history of breast cancer.
