ahhh, I love Six Feet Under! I originally got Netflix just to watch it because Blockbuster didn't have all the seasons. You're right, because each episode starts out with a death, it can get to you. There's this scene where a guy gets severed by an elevator that has always stuck with me. I've never seen an episode of the L Word - I should though!

Fabulous tips, Ais! I had a great experience couchsurfing in Paris in '07. I did however comb the website (couchsurfing.com) for weeks, reading references, looking at photos, etc. before finding the right hosts. One was a lovely 30-something single woman from Southern France who had move to Paris for work and the other was a cool 20-something French-Canadian couple, both spoke English. I felt like I got a more meaningful experience than if I had stayed at a hotel. Plus, the French woman brought me the most delicious pastries on my first morning there! Has anybody else done couchsurfing? What were your experiences like?

The first time I picked up Twilight, I couldn't get past the first chapter because of Meyer's writing. However, once I saw the movie and got more in to the story, I read the whole series. I really enjoyed being able to discuss it with so many other people and would not have given it another chance had it not been so popular!

I've had to moderate several offensive comments (likely from trolls) on this post, something that I haven't had to do on any other EGB article to date. However, I do not want the commenters to get the impression they're being moderated just because they hold a different viewpoint. Because of that, I'd like to open the issue for respectful, healthy debate! I did not participate in this meme. (Okay, I admit that I was pretty tempted to put "none" for a few minutes.) To me, daughter of a breast cancer survivor and friend of many who have been affected by breast cancer (several EGB girls included), this fun game undercuts the seriousness of breast cancer as a life-threatening disease. It gives the impression of breast cancer and breast cancer awareness as a girly issue that the boys aren't in on just because it involves our boobs. It's why I would much rather wear a "Fuck Cancer" shirt than a "Save the Ta-Tas" shirt. I mean no offense to those who did participate. This is simply my reasoning for not doing so, even though I support the mission of breast cancer awareness. Also, I commend you, Ariel, for including the last three paragraphs of this article!!

This campaign is brilliant! However, I'm always a bit sketched by Dove's parent company Unilever also owning Axe body spray and putting out ads that objectify women to promote that product. I don't think corporate hypocrisy should take away from the real impact of Dove's message, but it's something to think about.
