Perhaps a little background is in order here. The Sadducees were attempting to catch Jesus on the resurrection issue since they didn't believe in it. The rabbis had long established that brothers would attempt to bring forth seed for a deceased sibling.
What the Lord said was that there would be no joining in marriage during the resurrection, not that marriage has no place in heaven.

You should stick to the argument rather than attack the messenger. Is there or is there not a Christian basis for a doctrine of godhood?
You might enjoy a book called "Heaven: A History" by McDannell and Lang. These two non-Mormons discuss the afterlife in its various iterations. It turns out that Mormons have a rather well-defined concept of heaven that resonates with people outside the Mormon faith; stuff like being a family in the eternities. And they point out that the Mormons don't just talk about it; they DO SOMETHING about it.

If such a threat were any motivation, we'd have already sealed the border.
We've had evidence of middle eastern terrorists crossing the southern border since a congressional report in 2006.
And those reports just keep coming.
Neither Bush nor Obama seem worried because these damning reports never get any press coverage.

Well, I look at the whole mess as an immigration issue. Come to think of it, I look at EVERYTHING from an immigration POV.
We know there are islamic terrorists crossing our southern border. We know people are overstaying tourist/student visas with impunity. We know LEOs are afraid to delve into immigration status during traffic stops.
I'd say we have the worst of both worlds; no enforcement and security theater at the airport. Not to mention the invasion of our privacy in the name of security.

Actually, Mormons believe in a well-defined Trinity. Our understanding helps to unravel the act of the Great Ventriloquist at the baptism of Christ. It beats the Symbolum Nicaenum.
If this is an entirely different Jesus, we are guilty as charged.
