Romney is just saying what he has to in order to try to get elected. He most certainly knows that even if he is elected he still needs 60 votes in the Senate to repeal Health Care Reform. I imagine even a good many Republican's will think twice about being apart of a vote that helps uninsured children to die. HCR is here to stay. But Republican's will use the repeal chant for rhetorical purposes for a long time to come.

Part of the platform that Obama ran on was health care reform. Obama won the election and then proceeded do do what he said he would do. The result is not perfect by any means, but is a good first step towards the ethical vision of health care for all. Something that brings America into alignment with the rest of the civilized world. The supreme court just affirmed that it was constitutional; so while you may dislike the results of our democracy and constitution, it has by no means been rammed down your throat.

Supply and Demand? With the demand from other countries sky-rocketing, existing supply not satiating that demand, and increasing expense of extracting what remains, it's just a matter of time until our gas prices go sky high. I'm guessing conservatively we'll be over $5/gallon by 2015. Probably closer to $6-8/gallon by 2020. (Not including inflation.)

Actually most of the debt that he has created is projected to be paid back by 2014. It's only the tax cuts for the rich and the two wars that Bush started that are really dragging us down debt-wise.

Perhaps. But Republican party members are reacting this way fairly often no matter what Obama does or doesn't say or do. From within today's Republican party they are not fringe. It's just average mainstream Americans who see such Republican reactions as fringe. Kind of sad to see the Republican party gravitate so far towards extremes (I was raised as an Eisenhower Republican.)

Flips one way than flops back... doesn't sound like Obama on this issue. Evolving applies when one changes one's views and sticks to the new view. Obama could flip-flop on this issue, but I kind of doubt he will, wouldn't you agree? All politicians flip-flop to some extent (yes, even Reagan did). Some more than others. Romney is just a worst case example. Obama ran as a liberal for the most part but than devolved to being a moderate conservative. Love him or hate him, he is not much of a flip-flopper.
