It seems to me that we got into this mess because we got tired of being responsible for ourselves. We decided to leave the problems for someone else to solve. If you see trash on the street and are disgusted, you say, "there ought to be a law against it". We stopped saving money and started depending on the bankers to "loan" it to us. We stopped reading books and started watching TV. We trusted government with our children's education. Stopped teaching our children about God ourselves and sent them to Sunday school, while we stayed home.
It doesn't take protests or violence to change the world. Every one of us can make changes in our own lives that will change the world.
Don't count on a politician from any party to do it for you. "BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE".
I admire your passion and love that someone of your age is thinking and is active, but I would love for you to look into "where we were", exactly, before 911 happened. We are all over the world. We are a threat to every country on this planet. I'm not saying it's wrong, I'm just saying it's true.
Not all Ron Paulers are conspiracy nuts. He just doesn't stop anyone from saying anything on his sites. It's also a way that people can sabotage Dr. Paul. You know, fill his site with crazy stuff so he looks crazy. When I first heard about him, I ran into a bunch of the conspiracy stuff and decided to get out of the way. I didn't check back into him for another 6 months, then after seeing him tell a painful truth on TV, I went back and researched him again. I think one way to chase people away from someone that has so strong of a moral code is to attack him from the inside. It's easier than trying to find dirt on a clean guy.
Ron Paul represents real change, the kind that no one in government wants. If you want to find out the truth about anyone, follow the money. That applies to Glenn Beck too.
How many of you have read Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged? Whatever you think of Rand doesn't matter, the point is, it's time for Atlas to Shrug. Don't carry around the incapable anymore. It's time for the producers of the world to shrug off the non-producers that rule us. If everybody changed one thing in their life that allowed someone else to ride along at no expense, it would make an impact. Everyone can do just one thing. We don't have to use guns or violence, we just have to find that one thing and set an example for those around us. Find your one thing and do it.

Here's an idea. How about everyone sends their congressman a one hundred trillion dollar Zimbabwe bill, which can be had for nothing on ebay, as a campaign contribution. A little monetary reminder of where we could be headed.
Just got back from Campaign for Liberty conference in St. Louis with Congressman Ron Paul, Fox's Judge Napolitano, author Tom Woods, and many more liberty minded people. It was absolutely wonderful to be in a place that large with so many like minded people. Yes, there were a few ideological differences, a few crazies, but for the most part, everyone clung to the things that tie us together, the desire for liberty. Please, find yourself a few people to trust and cling together. We've got to work together, united we stand, divided we fall.
Already people are drawing lines between themselves and others on here. Let's not use this to argue, or exclude, let's use it to solve the problems we can agree upon. We all have a lot in common, let's join together a make each other stronger, not tear each other down.
That only works if you don't have taxes withheld from your check. Most of us have already paid in. We can change our witholdings on our W-2's however, and claim more dependents so that they get less up front.
And restructure the debate process so that 3rd party candidates can be heard. There is no real debate if you only see republicans and democrats because they are not really all that different from each other. The only time we see any real differences between candidates is when 3rd parties are allowed in the debates.
Do you really think that our aid is helping these people? Most of the time, when we send aid, it goes directly to the people who are keeping these people down.
