DEV-TEAM YOU ROCK MY WORLD!!!!

In case there are others out there like me, I decided to make note of the steps I took to upgrade to 3.1 using the new Pwnage tool released by the Dev-Team. I have an iphone3gs that was jail broken and unlocked with ultrasn0w using the 3.0 ipsw. The instructions out there are very clear but in case you are easily confused like me, I will share my steps.

1. Download Pwnage 3.1.3 - make sure you copy the disk image into your hard drive.
2. Run Pwnage, follow the easy steps.
-It will try to locate a 3.1 ipsw on your computer. If you haven't already downloaded one, it will prompt you to use the internet. The first link it gives you on google has one. Download the 3.1 ipsw and then click build in pwnage
3. Put your iphone in recovery mode: push home button and sleep/wake button at the same time
4. Open itunes. (upgrade to itunes 9 if you already haven't) It will say that it has detected that your iphone is in recovery mode and it will ask you to restore. Click ok to that prompt...and then *critical step* push the alt/option button Before clicking the restore button. Choose the custom 3.1 ipsw file on your desktop. Voila!
