jaysays.com | because simon isn't cool anymore : Texas GOP Official Platform Calls for Imprisonment of Homosexuals and Supportive Heterosexuals

i am heterosexual, and a native texan living far away in washington state. the politicians are making it really hard for me to defend my home state in the face of the western washington bigots with which i've to deal up here (i.e. "texas hate"). i love all of my friends, be them gay, straight, black, white, rich, or poor... and i'll stand by them to defend anyone trying to put them away for being nothing but a natural human being (that's right, it's natural!). texas is a wonderful land... but it's that right-wing idiocy that needs to be made extinct, not just back home, but everywhere.

KOMO - Seattle, WA : What makes 24% of you tick? | KOMO News - Breaking News, Sports, Traffic and Weather - Seattle, Wash

i moved to seattle from texas almost ten years ago (july 10), and i have never for one second said anything closely resembling, "it's hot outside" during the summer or "it's too dark!" i love it! i've always loved it! people complain about the weather because they have nothing better to do, but if these same people were to deal with 110°F, 100% humidity, and what seems like endless drought for nine months out of the year... you'd pray for rain, too. love sean98125's comment, though - this is the real seattle. don't get used it because y'all would love it somewhere warmer, sunnier, and somewhere not-here. somewhere else. when are you leaving? ^_^
