PS: It's really irritating, when Twilight actually stop to think and tries to solve the problem intelligently, writers makes it looks like waste of time.

This was one of the few things I liked in this episode, but I don understand what problems writers have with science that they have to make it fail compared to "feelings".

I have to disagree with you here. One thing Twilight read from the book was to learn the cause of the problems and work from there. And you know what? THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT THEY NEEDED TO DO! I hate when they didn't credited this little fact at all, just because it was Fluttershy who found out the reason of the fight. And after that, Twilight could have used her organizing skills to help those 2 families both farm the land and build shelters, just like in Winter Wrap Up.

I'm with you that this episode is really weak, for a pony episode. But if this was my first pony episode, I would be curious to see is there anything more in this show.

This is where Twilight could have used her egghead knowledge showing them best soil for farming and sturdiest ground to build. She could have organized works just like in Winter Wrap Up, and actually help to solve their problems.
I also gets irritated how again this show shows rational, well planned and organized way of thinking and working in bad light. Just like in Feeling Pinkie Keen and last week episode, once again it's "feelings" and "friendship" that outwit rationality and scientific methods. I can't understand why they keep doing this!
This is disappointing episode, but Twilight was great and Fluttershy too, so it's not as bad as it could had been. I have to go with 7/10, because it had so weak ending and spoiled opportunities. As a Twilight fan this sadden me, because I had high hopes for this and What About Discord? episodes, and while I loved Twilight in both of them, these episodes are some of the weakest in the show.
