I sincerely hope that all negative responses toward McOtt's is from only disgruntled ex-employees and/or non-Anamosa natives because having grown up in this small town I only have fond memories of McOtto's. I do acknowledge that overall the food wasn't 5-star, but the pizza was better than most options in town (Paul Revere's - personal dislike) and who didn't love a good Oreo-Speedwagon!?!? Also, it served as a great place to congregate with friends after a local social event, such as we did so many times after home athletic events! And knowing the servers made each visit a little more fun, because you knew that each visit would include some conversation, not like most restaurants these days! No matter what all these other people are saying, I am sad that this happened and sincerely hope that McOtto's finds a way to recover and rebuild in Anamosa. I would hope I speak for most of the community when I say this, but unfortunately those above me on this message board seem to feel otherwise. Finally, to the firemen and women of Anamosa, we are proud to have such a great crew in such a small town. Very few towns have volunteer crews of the caliber of Anamosa's.
