Big Hollywood : Al and Tipper Gore: 25 Years Later, Dee Snider Gets the Last Word

I vividly remember Tipper Gore's witch hunt. My parents (Conservatives, both of them) are vehemently against censorship. This was a topic of conversation in our home because all of us kids listened to the dreaded rock 'n' roll. My father railed against the Nanny state and Democrats trying to tell us what music is appropriate. He always finished with a sneer and "of course, it's for the children!"

My dad looks like Tom Selleck, true story! We just recently discovered "Deadliest Catch" (thanks, Netflix!) and it whoops other so-called reality shows.

Big Hollywood : REVIEW: 'The Lottery' Offers a Harsh Look At How Corrupt Unions Betray Poor Schoolchildren

Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (Mo. 5th district) was on the Kansas City Council before he was mayor of Kansas City. While his residence is technically in Kansas City, it is less than a mile from Raytown, a small suburb. His children would have attended Raytown schools. Needless to say, he was always pushing for more money for the (failed) KCMO school districts. Guess where he sent his children? That's right, private (Catholic - parochial) schools. Failing schools for thee, but, not for me.

"The press should be not only a collective propagandist and a collective agitator, but also a collective organizer of the masses." Vladimir Lenin Not too hard to connect those dots...
