I do not mean to sound insensitive. I am just so frustrated. My husband and I work very hard as well. I know who these people are. We are from a very small town were everybody knows everybody. I would love to be able to go out and buy groceries. All that we need at one time. But I cannot. We are barely making it pay check to pay check and it is so frustrating when you are getting assistance and spend it on something like that. Not to mention that none of them work. I believe in workinig for a living. If people need help and are trying then I think it is fine to get help but when you do not even try then it is aggrivating.

The whole food stamp system needs to be changed.People should only be able to get food on this not candy. I was in Dollar General a few evenings ago. I got behind a lady who had two carts full to the top with nothing but Christmas candy. Every kind of candy she could find. She was saying how she was getting this candy for all of her 16 grand kids to put in there stockings. The total was $376.25. Are you freakin kidding me!!!! I was furious when she pulled out an EBT card to pay for all of it. Candy is not food. Instead of feeding them hot meals lets give them a bunch of candy to rot their teeth out so we can pay for that too. I can think of alot more people who could have used that kind of money for food. And would have spent it on food not garbage.
