Race Relations Project : The Enlightened "West" Knows Best

If this were to happen it would cause a lot of problems that the government would have to deal with that I think eventually they would get sick over and just unpass the law or restriction. If they were to tell the ladies they couldnt wear their veils it would be just like telling a jewish man that he can't wear his yamika. It would be disrespectful to the man as well as an insult to his religion. If they are doing these things and they aren't harming anyone, there should be no reason why they shouldn't be allowed to it. Trying to explain to someone about why they cant do something just because people have decided they cant is like explaining why you cant have purple as your favorite color and why french fries cant be your favorite food. Its a totally worthless battle that will always be lost in one way or another because there isnt enough reasoning behind the action. Let the ladies wear their veils until they veils themselves become a problems and cause problems to the countries and the world rather than just people who feel its dumb.

Race Relations Project : Avatar and the White Man's Burden

The movie to me was a good movie, but when you watch any movie with Black or Brown people and white people its always the white people who are saved or let out of jail or not guilty where the black and brown people are the guilty ones. I understand totally where Sam is coming from in this but at the same time I just watch the movie think about it for like twenty minutes and then go and do something else becuase I'm not a big enough person in the world to have a say in anything. If i were to start anything it would just be pointless becuase I live in a little no huge importance town where everything happens the same everyday and where you just keep your mouth shut. It sucks becuase I'm not like that what so ever and maybe within time I'll be able to go and live my life and be able to talk about what i want and be able to say what I want and not have to worry about it, but until then I just have to sit back and let people be racist and waste time over stupid things which is what a lot of this world is coming to. Stupid arguments, stupid fights, stupid wars. Just dumb dumb dumb.

Race Relations Project : Racism Looks Pretty Mild on This Side of the Atlantic

I feel that this is complete bull shit honestly. People need to realize that everyone and anyone is capable of playing a sport or being a teacher or being a person of ANYTHING they want to be. It is ridiculous to know that the world is still so against different races doing the same thing that "white" people can do. What is the difference? We all have the things on the inside the only thing that is different is what we "see." All people need to do is put our situation here on this world to a crayon in a box of crayons. No one is the exact same but they all fit perfectly together in the box. There are no rules to what colors can be next to other colors. They all just fit in there and do nothing. I know that they are just objects and have no sense of mind or feelings or whatever but at the same time, we ourselves are just objects on this world. People need to just live their lives and not worry about other people.

Race Relations Project : Harry's Negros

When reading this "blog", it really hit me how messed up the world and the US really is. I think that people need to stop being so tight about stuff and just loosen up. Using the word negro in the wrong way is wrong, and I truly believe that, but if at the same time, black people themselves throw the word around like its nothing. If someone were to be disrespectful with the word then I can see why people are getting upset and I can see how this guys age really has a large part in his terms he uses and also how he speaks about others and problems. I think people are so bored with their lives that they feel its necessary to start really paying attention to other peoples lives. While doing this they pay so close attention until they find something out or hear something that they can get that person in trouble with. I live in a really small valley, where if you walk the wrong way down the road, everyone will know and by the time you're done with your walk, your parents are calling you asking why you're walking the wrong way. Its a horrible thing and it totally sucks, and I relate my idea of "people being bored with their lives" to this. I don't see why it matters where I'm walking or who I'm talking to or what I'm doing as long as I'm not getting into legal trouble and everything is getting done that I need to get done. The same with words. What does it matter what someone says if they feel that way. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I don't see why its such a huge problem. If they are able to talk about their opinion and feelings in a mature way and the other person is mature about the situation then everyone would get along a lot better and things would just be a little less chaotic. Senator Reid in this situation might have said somethings and maybe he was just talking to quick and rambling things off that he wasn't really hearing what he was saying but when you really listen to it, its as if he really meant it. He is entitled to his opinion, as is everyone, but because he has that title to his name, things he say are taken way more seriously than they should be and people find everything they can to get him into trouble. This is a pointless battle in my eyes to keep fighting, everyone just needs slapped and told to not be so selfish or concerned about other peoples lives. People are people and we all make mistakes
