If you are responsible and know how to raise one you wont find a dog in the world that you enjoy being around more. Pit bulls are usually such happy dogs they knock things over and jump on people which gets misinterpreted as being bad or rambunctious. As for the dog attacking a smaller animal, that is normal with every dog breed. I also had a german shepard that would try to kill any animal it could get a hold on but wouldn't attack a person. It's about the owner, not the breed.
