I should also point out that registering for a 3rd-party commenting account -- such as Disqus or IntenseDebate (what I've currently got running here) -- is entirely optional. You can still post with an email address (preferably a real one) or use your Facebook/Twitter/etc. credentials. I certainly appreciate the effort, though! B)

Having been to South Africa and Uganda myself, is it fair of me to say that the African market for mobiles is as unique in its own way as the markets in Europe and the U.S.? Fortunately Android is being embraced by more handset makers like Motorola and Samsung, while Nokia's smartphone features are being scaled to their less expensive devices. What kind of mobile do you use?

Certainly for the end user Ubuntu should be at the top of the list! My own top three (skewed towards netbooks) would be: 1. Linux Mint; 2. Easy Peasy 1.1 (*not* 1.5); 3. CrunchBang or CrunchEee.

Hey Saeed, love your Ubuntu blog! I've been covering Nokia devices for the past two years, and I just don't see how Palm's products and OS fit in with what Nokia already has. About the only thing the two companies share is a similarly deflated stock price...
