I know that there are more than 149, 000+ who agree with its contents and the more signatures & comments to the petition; the greater impact that it will have. If you do sign the petition, please let your friends & family know about the site, so they have the opportunity to have thier voices heard. Also please post a link to it on your web site or blog. We need to spread the link across the internet.
For those who are afraid of getting a lot of junk e-mail by registering & signing the petition, you will not have your in-box flooded with spam from the Care 2 site & they don't share your info. I signed over 2 months ago and have had NO extra spam in my e-mail account.

Obviously you are referring to Mark Sanford. A person is still just a person regardless of Office or title. They will at times make bone-headed mistakes. No, I don't condone infidelity! But over 60 years of liife I can tell you that we all make mistakes & some of them are whoppers. You will find that those in a rush to belittle someone are those who have done similar actions or worse. Also, those professing, or making a show of having, high moral standards normally turn out to have the morals of a snake.

I added my own 2 cents. to the petition.
" I whole-heartedly agree with Janet‘s letter. The President, a majority of Congress, & the Supreme Court Justices have violated their oaths of Office to “protect, defend, & support the Constitution and to uphold the Laws of the U.S. Mr. President you routinely trample & make a mockery of our Constitution. Congress you can not adhere to your oaths by passing legislation that you have not read nor have any idea of what the Bill contains. Justices of the Supreme Court you have failed miserably in your duties by failing to curb our run- away Executive Branch. The whole lot of you need to be tried for treason & receive the harshest sentence possible.
By your actions, you have awakened a very grumpy sleeping giant that will not rest until the Constitution is restored to its proper place as the sole basis for the operation of our Government. We have no place in this Country for politicians who are wrapped up in their own megalomania. You do not belong in trusted positions.

Those of us who had the opportunity to see Glenn's show today, know about the Open Letter he read. Anyone who hasn't heard it can read it at "http://www.thepetitionsite.com/8/an-open-letter-to-our-nations-leadership". Please if you care about our Country sign the petition. Currently the response has been so overwhelming that the Care2 site was overwhelmed; but they promise to be back in operation soon. Keep checking back with them until you sign it & while your at it add some of your own comments.

I think that what we need is a 912 political Party. Such a National effort is going to require knowledgeable people with capital to get it started. The Party would of course adhere to the 9 core values & the 12 principles that the movement is founded upon.

I understand that for ethical & legal reasons that you probably can not be the founder of the Party; yet, I believe that you know the right people to suggest the idea to. We need this concentrated effort before the 2010 elections. We need it before the current Administration gets so entrenched that the only recourse is going to be an armed rebellion, something that you & I don’t want to happen.

Please Glenn, we need your help!!!

Yes we need you to keep us informed about what is really going on in our Government, but could you please start including a segment with experts giving us advice on how we can turn around our Country. The 912 Project was a great idea; however, it’s kind of deteriorating into a few wide-spread projects and just a lot of moaning & groaning. I believe that the project is basically at a standstill because it is too fragmented. At a time like this in our Country’s history we need a concentrated effort to combat the Liberal Progressive movement of both political parties. (continued above or blow)

Good idea and a start. However, I think a better option would be if someone who knows how to go about it would start the 912 Political Party. That way people would understand what we stand for. Just changing to Independent is too generic an action for todays' politicians and news media. Don't get me wrong, I'm not putting your efforts down; only offering an idea for you to consider.

Just so you know I'm one guy who gave you a "thumbs-down." I applaud your energy & need to do something besides just post on-line. However, we've already been dismissed by the media & a lot of our fellow country men as being "a group of nuts & malcontents." What you are suggesting will only receive the same reaction from most people, who don't have a clue what we really stand for. Our forefathers tried every legal means open to them before they resorted to civil disobedience.
I could go into the history of the Civil Rights movement but let me point out to you that the only reason that it finally suceeded was due to the liberal college trained individuals that flocked to the cause. Without that support, ax handles & breaking heads & worse would have continued.
