On topic, Seattle's defense was good but that unit is not one of the best defenses we have ever seen. The 2000 Ravens are the greatest defense we will ever see, they gave up a total of 23 points in 3 Playoffs games and the Super Bowl. Even more incredible, the defense only gave up 1 defensive touchdown as the Giants lone score was a kick return.
That same year, the 2000 Titans defense was much better than Seattle's this season. The real issue is was Denver's offense the most prolific in NFL history? Not even close. Their offense is easy to stop, get physical with the receivers at the line of scrimmage and pay attention for picks and screens, since that's all they do and 90% of passes are within 5 to 10 yards. The media loves to talk about how fast Peyton gets the ball out of his hands, 1.8 seconds or something, but that's only because the defense leaves the receivers untouched instead of disrupting their routes.
Peyton also has no accuracy for any intermediate route, unless the receiver is open. 606 points and could only muster one garbage-time touchdown because Seattle changed their defense up? People always say that numbers don't lie, and that's true, but they don't tell the truth either. The 2013 Denver Broncos offense is not even in the Top 100 greatest offenses ever, because the truly great offenses were able to attack all areas of the field in the passing game and had good running games. The two best offenses ever are the 1998 Minnesota Vikings and the 1999 St. Louis Rams. The 98 Vikings missed the Super Bowl because the kicker missed the game-winner, which was his only miss of the season.
Didn't realize how off track that went, but yeah, Seattle's defense has to show a lot more if they want to be in the conversation for greatest defenses of all-time.

Obama is also a fraud. He loves to ham it up with all the black athletes, celebs and rappers but does a 360 whenever it comes to serious issues in the black communities. As a supposed black leader he needs to address, at the very least, the violence in his hometown of Chicago.
But I guess there is no place like home for him, especially since he wants no part of the Chi.

There is no white privilege. It's a lie. Step into the corporate world, or blue collar industries, or any place outside of the house for that matter for just a moment, and you'll realize the world doesn't work like that anymore. The world judges your character, merit, and attitude. Anyone who acts like a thug, or uses the word nigger, regardless of your skin tone, shouldn't expect to get far and will not. Don't look to celebrities and the media, they are not accurate reflections of society, and do not apply in real life".
You got to be kidding me with this utter bullshit, talking about character, merit and attitude? The same qualities that stand to reason for Affirmative Action to need to exist. These are the same qualities that refuse a person for a job because of a hair style? The reasons why many asian parents continue to give their kids English and Americanized names for social acceptance. The very same reasons why graduating from certain universities are the main reasons why thousands of extremely capable men and women are denied a career in a field they are qualified for because they didn't go to a university that the company considers "The standard for academic achievements".
The only people who should truly feel hurt by the "N" word are those who lived during the times of the Civil Rights Movement and anyone who (with confidence) can proclaim they were a victim of a racially-motivated attack, be it physical or verbal. Personally, NWA killed the word for me. And one thing many people forget is words do not have power, we give words power, not the other way around.
I'm more offended by anyone thinking that times have really changed SOCIALLY than a white person calling me a nigger. You know, Mr. Character and Merits, Barack Obama is considered the worst President in the history of the United States, is referred to as the Anti-Christ by many, is constantly attacked by a clearly racist Tea Party, and many have feared his winning a second term will be doom for the US. How's that for equality?

I have one thing to say about you not caring about the type of music Tupac made - you should. He went from dancer, arts student, lover of all women to *fast-forward 5 years later* "thug", beefing with anybody who picked up a mic, getting shot by police, mistreating women and referring to them by every name in the book (when there is a clip of a younger version of him being mind-fucked by the thought of a guy calling a female a bitch or a hoe), and many other things.
Point is, his downfall and death was lead by his actions, regardless of what people think, musicians and arts do have a responsibility to their fans. You can't flip flop on messages for the sake of money or just to make music, stick to something, if you a hustler and a thug, maintain that lifestyle through your actions and music, and if you are for empowerment, continue down that path. You will not be taken seriously by doing a 180 on your persona.
That Beyonce song is a waste of time and only Beyonce fanatics and defenders (for whatever reasons) are in love with it. Almost everyone refers to her as "Queen B", but you gotta understand that Sasha aint gonna let Beyonce's female empowerment movement stop her from cutting in when she gets the chance.

Getting a college degree is viewed as the hardest path in black communities to make something of yourself, this is true (to a degree). But when our school systems are behind in standards of the rest of the country's education level, when our schools are being closed down at alarming rates, when the teachers are not qualified to be teaching, when their is lack of positive reinforcement in schools and homes, this is why kids turn to selling drugs, rapping or putting all their focus on catching or shooting a ball, even when they are in college to actually make something of themselves if sports fails.
Fast money, and not just that, it's money period. That's all you are told growing up, get a college education to be financially secure. Well, easier said than done. Education is not free, student loans are a worse nightmare than Freddy and Jason combined, getting a Master's Degree is definitely an achievement to be proud of, but once you walk off that stage you are on your own.
Who wants to be 25 and have over $50,000 in debt for doing the right thing? And not have a job in the field you studied.
I strayed off the topic but like everything, education starts at home, there's too much Dora, Diego, SpongeBob and daycare in our babies' lives, parents aren't teaching their kids basic skills at home because they are lazy and unfit to be parents in the first place. Turn on the tv, buy them games, now the pops can play 2K with his boys (if he is around in the first place), mommy can take booty pics for Instagram with her kids in the background now or set up something for the night and leave the kids with aunty or grandma because they don't want to teach their own kids responsibility of being a parent.
Before anyone has a child they should have to take courses on parenting. All it takes it to look at the baby pictures of yourself and the ones of today. Many of our baby pics we are in suits or dresses because our mothers couldn't wait to see their little boy or girl grow up to be a man, we all have heard this before "look at my little man"..... today's kids are dressed in Polo and Jordans because the parents today think clothing shows your parenting skills. Yeah, your kids dress better than you as a child, but they are dumber and left to their own devices.
Did I say everything starts at home?

I would've liked Blaque to play TLC but one of the members passed away so this train wreck needs to be left alone.
13 years ago @ ThisIsYourConscience.com - Why Does Barack Obama ... · 0 replies · +1 points
Nothing is gonna change unless we do it, black people continue to vote Democrat because they are brainwashed/conditioned to do so, they are lead to believe we live in a Democratic country when those in authority in the government abuse their power and make decisions that benefit only them. Al Sharpton is black america's last true leader, when he is gone we will look for help from others but no one will reach out. We have to do this ourselves, and it starts with money. We have to stop giving our money to greedy corporations that don't give a damn about us, they take our money and never give a dime back to the communities for showing support. I know the fans fund athletes and other celebs, but these guys always talk about giving back and then you look at their charities and they are white charities, they are making a mockery of us. I'm not saying blindly give your money to black businesses but we have to start somewhere, all this out for self bs is pissing me off, I hate when someone says nobody owes us anything..... yes they do! African-American's rise from hate was only because they were united, the communities flourished because the people were in harmony with each other, they knew having successful businesses would upset the racists and anyone else who looked down upon them.
Just take Christopher Dorner as an example, in our justice system where everyone is supposed to be innocent until proven guilty, the man was killed by a lynch mob aka police with no due process. I don't care he killed people, the Batman shooter was made out to be a victim as well as the Sandy Hook boy, but black people don't get that remorse, minorities are all criminalized and it will stay that way until the end of time. Black pride is damn near gone, we glorify the things that hurt our growth as people. African-Americans think the only way to make it out of the ghetto is by playing ball or music, education is ignored completely.
13 years ago @ ThisIsYourConscience.com - Why Does Barack Obama ... · 3 replies · +1 points
As much as I can't stand Barack Obama as the POTUS, this is not his problem, it's the people living in those communities who have to change the perception in order to gain the attention of the guvment. There are no community leaders willing to address the issues of violence publicly and consistently, unless there is something to gain out of it. Why the hell does the NAACP exist if they have done absolutely nothing in the past 15 years? Sadly, black americans have to take matters into their own hands, too many people were expecting African-Americans to rise to the top of the totem pole because our president is black, and literally were expecting all types of handouts. It's utterly ridiculous to believe the first African-American president was gonna have that kind of effect on America.

Quick notes, Jets beat a sorry Buffalo team, Denver gets lucky by playing home against Pittsburgh because Pittsburgh will always be short a starter as long as Ryan Clark is on the team (I believe this is done intentionally for drama by the league scheduling team), the Packers have no defense, only the Saints and Buffalo are worse, and San Fran is the team to beat in the NFC (Im a die-hard Giants fan btw).

I had a lot more to say actually about that picture but my rant must go on about the topic. I was born and raised in the hood and I still live here, albeit in a decent part of the city, but it's because of two reasons: 1) I know many of the people in my area and seen firsthand what some went through in our childhoods, that's not something I'm gonna ignore for the sake of "growing up", and 2) I lived in a suburb for a year when I was 18 or 19 and the experience was disappointing, well put it like this, I've never been arrested, committed any crimes, never joined a gang, actually went to one of the top high schools in the US, I don't smoke nor do I hang out on the streets, yet during most of my time in that town I was seen as a troublemaker, harassed by police too many times to count, called the n-word by black people in my age range in a way that would appall the whitest man/woman, I think you get my point.
Moving to a "better" neighborhood doesn't automatically make your life safer and is a much harder transition, especially if you decide to spend your free time in that new town with new people who don't think the same way you do, and I'm not changing who I am for nobody to try to feel accepted. I prefer to live in my hometown with all my friends and homies I grew up with, be it college grads, hustlers or gangbangers, I feel much more comfortable and even safer in this town then I ever will trying to survive living in the 'burbs. Now I'm not saying I live their lifestyle as I never have and I'm not attempting to prove anything to anybody by staying, but understanding what many of these people have gone through and experienced first-hand what went on in some of their homes when we were kids, people like to say ignorant things like "if I was able to get good grades in school and not get into trouble afterwards, they can do it too", I'm telling you, I don't care who gets upset, you are a fucking idiot and worthless piece of trash, a no good human being disguised as one. The things I've witnessed what they had to deal with, please, I'm happy they are still alive and able to function in society with an average level of decency.
I see how I rambled on but I have to say one more thing, giving back to the hood isn't always about money, I'm always talking to grade schoolers, high schoolers and those in college to reassure them there's more to life than money, fast cars and hoes (I said college students because many guys go for the parties and end up worse off then before). Plus, I don't have a lot of money to begin with, I'm barely making it as it is so I'm in no position to look down on anyone. A lot of this may come off confusing but please give it a read.
