The simple fact, acknowledged by all in the know, is that this movie was groundbreaking on many levels artistically and technically. It is completely unprecedented in the film industry. Jurassic park had no humanoids, no environments, no landscapes, no facial animation, no complex atmospheres, relatively little complex coordination of multiple complex animations. The fact that jaded top critics are 94% in favor of it and drip with praise for the art puts your disingenuous rants into proper perspective. It has solid A's from CinemaScore, the most trusted source of exit polling at theaters. It's the second most like movie of all time on BoxOfficeMojo, and it will be nominated for several Academy Awards and Golden Globes. It is an overwhelming critical, popular, commercial, and artistic success on all counts. It has been embraced by people from Alabama to Texas to Montana, and the art and technical aspects were in fact far more impressive than Jurassic Park or any other movie to date. In summary, I guess you're just as wrong as wrong can possibly be John. Not that I'm surprised.
