However, thanks to monetary inflation and the debasement of the U.S. dollar, today, $100,000 isn’t a very large sum of money. Therefore, your grandparents would find it much easier to repay their debt. Turning to the present situation, the United States owes its creditors a gigantic amount of money and a debt so large that it can never hope of repaying it in today’s dollars. So, the United States has two options: a. Default or bankruptcy b. Monetary inflation Given the fact that the United States is still the world’s largest economy, owns the world’s reserve currency and has a democratically elected government, I think we can pretty much rule out the possibility of sovereign default. Therefore, you can bet your bottom dollar that the United States will try its best to inflate its way out of trouble. V

I am not a politician by any means, there are some people out there that do feel this way but cant get past the primaries. If a third party is going to get a candidate into office 2012 is the year, I have never seen such an up rise in this country, I think the Democrats will make enough of their members mad that they will be looking for a retro-change, lets get it back to where it was... "I didn't know how good we had it when we could just parade around campus and throw paint a people". Glenn has done a great thing here, he got us going to the grass roots again with the tea parties and this site to get people together, as long as you are not rude and believe in most of the 12 principles and 9 values your welcome to vent, toss around ideas and get a feel for what your neighbor is thinking. The key is, he stepped back and let us steer it, I hope this grows into a grass roots movement like never seen before and we get a person into office that actually gives a damn about the country more than himself. This site need to be rebuilt though, it's very hard to follow and find your own post to reply to and see if your on the right track. this is the only forum I have seen with out topics and subtopics in the main section. but it's a start. V

I was a bystander for a very long time, I have decided to put my keyboard into action, at first I was apprehensive but if you have fear of you government then they have already achieved Victory. I am sorry to hear that you have had trouble. V in the movie "V for Vendetta" was a political prisoner used for drug testing, he was later successful in defeating the ruler by getting the people to join and stand as one (and other means that only Hollywood could pull off) but the point of the movie was that they work for us and need to be reminded from time to time who is in charge. We as Americans do that in the voting booth. Lets hope they don't ignore the storm brewing in this country and stop spending us into oblivion and create a plan that works, not keep repeating mistakes that history has proven to fail. I have suggested a few. I am a humble man at the poverty line with little to loose other than my freedom, they will never take away my will to be a free American standing up for the rights and safety of my family and neighbors. If we stand together and rise in force then they cannot single out individuals. V

Is there not enough volunteer groups out there at the kids wont leave the X-Box to go join? HR 1444 only states that it's going to try to train community leaders. We have a very liberal college faculty, this may just be a group to reach the ones that can't afford to go to college... just my take on it.

I have been listening to Glenn for almost 5 years now and people said he was a fear-monger and NAH that will never happen now that the DOW is lower than he predicted and seems the Treasury is intentionally devaluing the dollar the word of Glenn seems to be sound. It truly is time for all of us that are aware to stock up on food stores and silver/gold stashes and try to get through to the passive/asleep to do the same. Daniel Hannan is an animal, he is what I hope Ron Paul and Sarah Palin will be like in a few years, that kind of passion would really get people exited again. Palin_Paul_Me was my original name choice here. Ron Paul and Sarah Palin my 1st choice for 2012 they just need to watch Daniel Hannans' game tapes.
