No, it wasn't "just" a question, because it wasn't presented in a neutral way. It was basically "Alba wasn't a worthwhile signing," but in question form so the person could hide behind "It was just a question!"

Another example of that kind of "question:"

Messi's missing the penalty against Chelsea begs the question - "Can Messi really perform against big teams?"

Equally ludicrous, equally disingenuous.

Am I the only one who's curious to see how Bartra would do against some of the bigger La Liga teams? I'm not saying that I think he should start the next clasico or anything, but I'd like to see him start a home game or two against someone like Atletico Madrid or Sevilla this season, not just be kept to mid/bottom of the table teams.

Yeah, I never understand it when people whine and moan about the B players playing friendlies - I love watching the kids from B play. It makes me feel confident and optimistic about our future.

That's why we watch, yes, but that's not the only reason that they play. The priority right now is getting ready for the season. I'd rather see a few less entertaining games that mean nothing now if they give our players an edge for the season.

While Espanyol irritates me, too, I do think that it's not actually unfair for them to say that they want to earn the trophy, not get it because Barcelona played their B side. How would we feel if Madrid decided to play their B side in the Super Cup? (No, it's not exactly the same... but it's close enough.) I don't know about you, but I wouldn't say, "Thanks for the trophy, Madrid."

It's also worth pointing out that Espanyol won the CDR in 2006, which isn't all that long ago.

I'm really hoping that, too... for once, Madrid actually dropped most of their points to teams that finished in European places - 3 each to Barcelona and Levante, 2 each to Valencia and Malaga. I hope that it won't just be a fluke.
