WMPoweruser.com : Nokia’s Ovi maps are pretty amazing

Integrate this into Silverlight's Bing Maps and say goodbye to Google Maps.. The problem with this Ovi 3D map is performance (it seems to be very slow).. however, Silverlight's deep zoom can easily fix that :)

WMPoweruser.com : Microsoft Offers President Obama A Windows Phone Device

Nice.. if the president actually uses a Windows Phone, this would give the platform huge publicity. Perhaps a Dell Venue Pro (with Mango and all the bug fixed, of course) for Mr. Obama?

Thanks John!! Stay tuned, I will probably make a video demoing the ability to autostitch and take the pics inside of the app when the new SDK and mango dev image is releaesd for the device. Hopefully Brandon Watson keeps his word :)

WMPoweruser.com : Eldar: Nokia WP7 prototypes are out, W7 and W8 coming this year, 12 devices planned for 2012

Thanks! I plan to keep improving and improving on the current app. Right now one of the biggest issue is the inability to take pictures from within the app, and inability to autostitch the pictures. Well after the new SDK is released, these won't be a problem anymore :) I can use the gyroscope (or compass + accelerometer) combined with the camera access to take pictures and stitch them in real time. I also want to make an augmented reality app. I have a pretty good idea already

YESSS YESSS YESSS!!! My app will be one of the first to take advantage of the gyroscope. I've been one of the many devs nagging for this feature since last year.. I am over filled with joy right now.

Just did this procedure, but by accident. You see, strangely after the NoDo update, my phone always reported a full battery! Naturally I did not charge the battery for a few days, and then it completely ran dry. Now I have completely recharged it.

WMPoweruser.com : Developer ad revenue crashing?

I think that the developers devastated by this should move to paid apps. My app (Ztitch) might not be making a lot, but at least the income is stable and not subject to huge variations as shown above. One thing is for sure: Windows Phone users are not thrifty like the Android users... many of them (myself included) are willing to spend money on quality apps. Furthermore, you can only make ad revenues from users within the US, but the paid marketplace is available in many countries.

WMPoweruser.com : Developer ad revenue crashing?

1) The developer said that there has been more downloads in April than in February, and despite this, revenue is still lower 2) Impossible Shoota has always ranked pretty high on the free apps list, and the article also mentions that he has a lot of other apps as well. 3) Another developer told me that he used to make $40/day, now he is lucky if he can make $1/day.
