Your right I completely forgot about that. your also right about them starting from the beginning because it's a very character based show you start to care about the characters you learn there back story's there dreams there motivations and, the interaction amongst the Strawhats are one of the best parts of the show.

And they wonder why more people aren't buying there games out west.. On the fanboy subject sounds like a weaboo problem where anything that's anything Japanese that gets a English dub is treason and never good.
