Great place. You are fortunate. I did a post grad year there. Had a good time but the course was not very helpful. Apply again to the Uni of Life when you graduate.

Fair enough. That sounds reasonable.

Johnson HAS kept free movement. Have 't you seen the illegal migrants on Lilos crossing the Channel? Moreover, his WA&PD keeps N Ireland in the EU and ties us to Euro defence and BRINO.

Well, it's like this Cynicus old chum, I am a graduate, post grad, PGCE. DIP TEFL. That does not stop me from pontificating on a wide variety of subjects, not always in my area of supposed expertise. I feel it would be arrogant of me not to grant the same privilege to a non-grad, particularly one who has shown initiative, persistence and fortitude , do you agree?
Self-styled " experts" , including and especially scientists, and computer modellers have had an unblemished record recently, haven't they?

Mr. Grimes is a graduate of the university of life and has not been educated for stupidity. As such a graduate, he is well worth listening to.

Well done Darren Grimes for pointing out the obvious: that whichever musical chair party wins the election, we still end up with a feckless, woke, left liberal, culturally Marxist government. Why do conservative voters keep on doing this to ourselves?

One thing is certain. In this cringe-fest of calamity this govt is presiding over, the idea that they could outsource political decision-making to independent, unaccountable quangos is well and truly illustrated as bad. The chickens are coming home to roost. First the disastrous record of Public Health England, now Ofqual whose supremo is a £200,000 a year personage with zero education knowledge or experience. Brilliant! She was appointed in 2016, so one hopes she at least was not appointed as some half-baked libtard's protege from the Blair era. Hmmmm, is the border force illegals' ferry service an independent, unaccountable Quango? I guess not. So Priti Patel will have to find some other excuse for her total incapacity to act to stop the illegal migrant traffic across the Channel.

Unfortunately, the creature Blair opened a can of worms when he ushered in devolution. While it is good Wales, Scotland and N Ireland have devolved powers, the inevitable consequence is that each will continuously want more. The ScotNats want to break up the Union because they are sick of the feeble, palsied govt in Westmonster provided by the two musical chair parties. They are not the only ones.
Maybe it's time to at least consider a new constitutional settlement and to examine carefully whether we could evolve the union into a federation of the British Isles. The rotten House of Frauds could become a federal parliament. In time we might consider representation from Isle of Man, Channel Isles and the seven Crown Colonies. I would be delighted if the Irish Republic decided to leave the EU and the euro and join in as well. The difficulty of couse is the size of England with 70+% of the population. But at least we would have our own parliament.

The Gramscian Cultural Marxist long march though the institutions is increasingly visible in our education system, most clearly in Unis. There can be no freedom of thought and exchange of ideas when candidates for teaching posts have to dissemble their true opinions to be appointed or to take the knee in order to remain in post.
It is useless looking to a govt that has itself surrendered wholesale in the Culture Wars. So I guess nothing will change until we all stop employing graduates of one-sided, unidimentional courses. I suspect that may already be taking shape given the apparent preference of employers for migrant workers.
