For me it's not that it respects the intelligence of older fans, but that it respects the intelligence of the younger fans. The show started out pretty smart even in the first season, more so than other shows targeting the same demographic.

Tf2 is officially the single most dead game currently in existence gentlemen. They have officially lost all integrity for their art-style (Actually that happened a long time ago) and have just put the final nail in the coffin.
